The CFS Middle Office Department is responsible for ensuring all aspects of operations for clients are completed, transactions are processed on time, exceptions are resolved proactively; provide single point of contact team and subject matter expertise to the clients. Middle Office covers trade instruction capture, settlement; fail management, cash instruction capture, projections, overdrafts, asset servicing instruction capture, dividends, foreign exchange, collateral, derivatives lifecycle management and bank loans.

 

MOS background in UK / Manila / Bangalore & Mumbai

 

MOS UK provides full operational support to our Clients' transaction processing needs by ensuring all aspects of the trade lifecycle are managed end to end efficiently, within market timeframes and accurately in a controlled environment to minimise risk. MOS UK has expanded into a multi site group with Mumbai, Bangalore, Manila and Bournemouth (UK) footprint. The group is now expanding to encompass an additional Manila footprint. The primary function of those sites is to support MOS UK service delivery teams, which act as conduit with our Clients.

 

Teams within the MOS UK hub are: Trade Capture, Trade Settlement, Trade Matching, Cash Settlement, Cash Management, Data Control, Reconciliation, Unit Trust, Indirect Property, Derivatives, Claims, Investigations, Income and Corporate Actions.

 

Within the UK hub a number of these Teams act as Service Delivery Management / Client Facing functions such as Income, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation, Cash Settlement, Claims and Investigations. The core processing having been progressively migrated in Asia and other sites in the United Kingdom.

 

Department Description

  • Posting of Accounting entries for one of UK’s main Clients on instruction from various UK Teams and Client instruction
  • Daily management of data, input and queries
  • Daily exceptions management
  • Cash and securities trade confirmation & settlement with post-settlement reconciliation i.e. FX, MM, Fixed Income, Mutual Funds
  • Claims or fund compensation
  • Daily reporting and communication to UK
  • When required, immediate escalation to MOS UK
  • Support resiliency activity between Mumbai and UK

 

Job Title: MOS Transaction Processing Specialist

  • Process any cash and securities postings within SLA
  • Posting of Collateral movements
  • Process Term Deposits which have failed STP and require to be input manually
  • Cater for amendments, deletions and batch updates
  • Process Fee and Unit rebates, Short Sales and Purchases, Currency Conversions
  • Processing Interfund / Intrafund / Write Downs / Inspecies / Take On’s
  • Acting on Client instruction and internal department templates following tight SLAs
  • Process postings arising from the daily Cash Breaks: clearing the daily reconciliation breaks
  • Running reports and posting accordingly
  • Follow daily checkpoints / SLA and ensure escalation is followed when appropriate
  • Act on internal instructions to process Hedge Fund Sweeps / Cumulative Balances
  • Spread a pro-active attitude towards change within the Team
  • Remediation of breaches and errors, and management of EF&L events within agreed targets

Service Delivery Management

  • Operational coordination across multiple sites: primarily Mumbai and UK. Some interaction with Bangalore may be required
  • Enhance the quality and risk culture by ensuring proper management of daily production control and risk management tools
  • Act as point of contact for MOS UK and stakeholders, and escalations impacting services to MOS UK Clients
  • Delivery and monitoring of effective MIS tools and reporting to enable best practice production management
  • Support ongoing resiliency strategy and testing
  • Assist and support MOS global team in any Client, Internal or Technology change
