The UDAAP Compliance Associate position will be responsible for supporting, along with other team members, the Firm’s Unfair, Deceptive, and Abusive Practices (‘UDAAP”) Compliance program. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, excel at creative thinking and problem solving, be self-motivated, confident and organized, and ready to work in a fast-paced energetic environment.
Responsibilities
 
  • Own and perform assigned monitoring activities
  • Identify and assist in the resolution of UDAAP related compliance and control issues
  • Proactively identify gaps and recommend effective controls to the business for strengthening the target state environment
  • Support the continuous improvement to and sustainment of a strong and effective Compliance program designed to control UDAAP risk consistently throughout the Firm
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently to reach goals
  • Deliver presentations/updates related to monitoring and other findings to key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Work proactively with a strong sense of urgency and meet critical, deadlines
  • Proactively monitor industry and regulatory activity to identify trends, potential impact, best practices, and opportunities for ongoing improvements to the UDAAP Compliance program
     
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations that apply to large financial institutions, including, particularly UDAAP
  • 2+ years experience as Compliance professional or equivalent controls environment experience, including experience supporting Compliance programs
  • Strong ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong analytical skills; process and detail oriented
  • Strong Interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
