As an Infrastructure Developer in our Network Services and Engineering group you will be part of the Global Network Services (GNS) team which supports one of the largest enterprise networks spanning over 56 countries, with over 2 million data network ports and 40,000 network devices.  The Global Network Services (GNS) team is responsible for delivering value added services and projects to meet business demand for the firm's Global Data Network in partnership with our line of business partners and peer technology organizations.
 
As an experienced Infrastructure Development professional, your love of technology will have a direct impact on the future of the business. As a senior member of a high-performance team, you’ll be immersed in all the elements of Software Development Lifecycles- design, development, integration, operation, support and testing of infrastructure services. You’ll ensure team goals are met and best practices, architectural design standards, data, risk and security management policies are adhered to. You’ll be instrumental in designing, developing and testing code, solving more difficult technical issues, developing integration elements, building data models, APIs, and open 3rd-party SDKs. You’ll see your ideas come to life as part of a small, success-driven team. And as part of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global technology community, you’ll also have the ability to collaborate with peers around the world to tackle big challenges.
 
This role will be responsible for building solutions that meet the following requirements:
  • Automation of telecom order and design process
  • Telecommunications experience specializing in layer 1 transport
  • Vendor management
  • Excellent written and engineering design documentation
  • Knowledge of international networks, including undersea cable systems
  • Technical knowledge, but possess the ability to communicate in laymen's terms
  • Customer focused, can communicate to lines of business when required
  • Vision driven with clear roadmaps for transport direction
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Significant experience in both Systems Engineering and Software development
  • Proficiency in at least one of these disciplines:
    • Internals of distributed Operating System (Unix/Linux, Windows, Z/OS)
    • Systems programming
    • Network programming
  • Experience using large scale software development in at least one of these languages: (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
  • Experience using system and software security and entitlements such as SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD
  • Experience with new and emerging technologies such as cloud and virtualization
  • Expertise in network identity and entitlements and supporting frameworks across the network estate
  • Good understanding of the risk standards defined for access management
  • Excellent understanding and experience of Agile development methodology
  • 3+ years of experience in design and development of high-volume back-end enterprise applications and products in telecom/networking domain
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Web Services, Microservices, Databases and Messaging
  • Proficient in building distributed systems based on Linux and cloud platforms
  • Experience of network management, element management (FCAPS) or networking software applications etc.
  • Preferably have experience of access related technologies such as TACACS, Active Directory and managing certificates
