Sr. Technical Analyst - Application Monitoring Services

As a Senior Technology Analyst for the Corporate Technology Application Monitoring Support team, you will work directly with business partners, other technology teams, and vendors.   You will participate in all phases of the application life cycle to implement solutions to meet business needs, provide application support, and ensure proper technology controls and application documentation. 
  • Act as liaison for the product vendor, finance and management teams
  • Create, maintain and support the cost recovery model for CT monitoring Services
  • Participate in application/infrastructure capacity planning, trend analysis, and performance forecasting exercises
  • Provide strategic Service and Tool consulting to customers/stakeholders to ensure services align with need.
  • Provide input and recommendations to the monitoring solutions development team - to enhance tool performance and service.
  • Assist team with managing book of work, defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support technology and business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Proven ability as a self-starter, detail-oriented, well organized, strong decision-making skills and able to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees across the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take the lead in unstructured situations
  • Address production issues, change requests and defects in a timely manner
  • Draft technology and business requirements, test execution plan and test cases.  Test and implement enhancements, coordinate UAT
  • Assist in the managing of the execution of the end to end implementation of various programs
  • Prepare materials related to associated status meetings (which may be different based on stakeholders)
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed on various elements as needed
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare documentation and minutes
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ten+ years of work experience as a Technical Analyst
  • Advanced Technical problem-solving and solution design skills.
  • Knowledge in various Monitoring tools, such as:
    • APM tools (AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Wily, Instana, New Relic, etc.)
    • Synthetic or UE tools (AppDynamics End User Monitoring, Apica, BSM/Topaz, Gomez/Keynote, etc.)
    • Broad knowledge of multiple UNIX OS platforms and Windows-based operating systems: deep understanding of supporting technologies in SAN, Backup, Middleware, Database, and surrounding infrastructure support technologies.
  • Overall IT experience in a Client-Server environment, with practical knowledge of distributed and desktop technologies.
  • Infrastructure architecture & engineering experience, including functional and technical requirements gathering, and solution development.
  • Advanced written and oral communication capabilities, ability to influence and successfully interface with executive leadership.
  • Experience managing vendor relations, support processes, and contract/licensing negotiations
  • Knowledge and experience working with Agile Development methodologies
  • Familiar with technologies such as Oracle 11g, SQL, UNIX and working experience with internal cloud environments
  • Experience in using tools such as ITSM, HPSM, JIRA, ALM, APICA, AppDynamics
  • Previous experiences in ensuring applications are available by performing various levels of checks and validations post deployment
  • Previous experience in handling weekly or weekend change requests
