JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Controllers is a global organization of approximately 1,500 colleagues, operating through a partnership among Corporate Accounting Policies, Corporate Regulatory Policy & Reporting, Corporate Financial Reporting, Corporate Sector Controllers, Global Finance Operations (GFO), Global Finance India, and Finance Platform Strategy & Controls.  Working together, our strengths and resources enable us to ensure the integrity of the JPMorgan Chase consolidated books and records and the results of individual legal entities within the Firm. The controllership function is focused on ensuring and improving the organization's credibility through accounting, financial controls, systems and reporting.

 

Corporate Sector (CSEC) Controllers supports all lines of business to deliver superior financial services to businesses and consumers around the world.  CSEC Controllers provides an environment where leadership, excellence, integrity and diversity are among our core principles.

 

The Firm has recently executed a contract to transition its HR technology platform to a cloud-based solution that will transform recruitment to retirement and integrate approximately 60 platforms across HR today.  To ensure a sound control and financial environment a team is being built to manage and govern the accounting/financial aspects of this conversion.  Individuals will be heavily involved in HR and payroll accounting, including expat payroll, incentives, severance and other related functions. The role will also involve:

 
  • Collaboration with the following key stakeholders: local, expat and regional Payroll and other HR teams, Executive Compensation, HR heads of locations and associated staff, Technology, Line of Business & Legal Entity Controllers, Tax, and others
  • Develop an understanding and document global HR accounting processes and finance activities
  • Participation in accounting-related requirements & design and testing
  • Identification of  risks and appropriate controls
  • Timely execution of tasks as outlined
  • Communications to key stakeholders

  • 8+ years of relevant experience required in accounting or finance with demonstrated career progression
  • CPA or MBA
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation
  • Ability to collaborate with various partners and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Solid analytical and financial skills with a track record of execution against deliverables
  • Self-starter with initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team
  • Proven ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience preferred with automated financial systems, database management, worksheet-modeling tools (Excel), PowerPoint, Word
