As a Technical Analyst in Digital Business and Data Services, you will dive head-first into delivering innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. Involve in managing complex real-time projects with a solid understanding of the various financial and technical products and of the group’s business model.  You’ll join an inspiring team of technical and functional specialist to create and improve implementation plan, analytics, development, that goes into creating high quality software and new products. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile Methodology- is key.

 

Responsibilities includes,

 

  • Analysing project requirements, writing functional/technical stories and working with team to groom the technical and functional stories.
  • Analysing data related issues querying multiple database involved to resolve data quality and data integrity issues.
  • Working closely with cross impacted teams to understand any functional or technical issues.
  • Producing interface specifications and testing related to the database (Hive, Cassandra)/APIs/middleware components of Digital initiatives
  • Interfacing with members of your scrum team, Digital and  line of business product teams, business analysts from other teams to deliver digital solutions across retail and investment (asset management, brokerage) banking areas.
  • Working with scrum team to test and certify applications before they are deployed to production
  • Producing evergreen documentation on the web services/API/database stack

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience working as a technical analyst in the financial / banking industry
  • Functional understanding of retail banking and/or investment domains
  • Ability to work with product, business and application teams to write technical user stories for data related projects and understanding data pipeline or flows from multiple data sources.
  • Ideally having experience with customer facing applications in banking and financial domain.
  • Ability to read Java code to understand existing system behaviour.
  • Testing web services to see if meets acceptance criteria defined by user stories
  • Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong SQL skills to analyse existing data and identify gaps/data quality issues
  • Writing technical stories in JIRA/confluence using industry standard notations (like BDD/Gherkin)
  • Experience working in large, complex data environments applicable for software projects.
  • Experience working with diversified multi-location team
  • Experience with Big data concepts is a big plus ( Spark, Scala, Hive, Hadoop )
