The investment capabilities of AM Solutions reside within Multi-Asset Solutions, which has portfolio managers, research analysts, and client portfolio managers based in the US, London, and Asia. The global Client Solutions & Advisory team within AM Solutions includes Retirement Solutions and Institutional Solutions & Advisory. Job Description

Associate level finance role within the AM Solutions product CFO team in AM Finance.

 

The finance professional is responsible for delivering value added financial reporting, planning/forecasting, and analysis.  The key objectives for this team are to deepen its analysis for the Solutions business, provide critical financial insights and analyses, drive key business priorities, and enhance controls and efficiencies.

 

The role consists of ownership of the execution of various projects listed below.  This person will get a broad exposure to the business drivers of JP Morgan Asset Management and AM Solutions, and will also be expected to interact not just with the various finance functions (P&A, Profitability, product/client CFO teams), but also with peers and business leaders within the Solutions business and other areas as necessary.

 
Key functions of the role include:
  • Oversight and preparation of key monthly financial reporting for the business related to: assets, flows, pipeline opportunities, performance metrics, and financial results.  Ensure quality and integrity of reporting.  Analysis of key business drivers.
  • Support various stakeholders within Solutions business and support functions (CPMs, marketing, RFP team, etc.) with reporting, business development and ongoing client reporting efforts.  Provide asset, flow, pipeline, account level historical information on an as needed basis.
  • Provide data and analytical support as needed for business reviews, town halls and other senior management requests.
  • Analysis of revenue drivers, allocated revenue to underlying desks, product costs for underlying desks, and expense allocations (client costs, technology and operations allocations, overhead, etc.) within the activity based cost model.
  • Allocation of direct expenses to the appropriate product / client channels for profitability analyses.  Liaise with Solutions business to develop an allocation methodology for each team.  Partner with P&A team to implement allocation methodology within financial systems
  • Additional ad hoc assignments to support finance and business agenda

  • Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint, and Essbase (preferred)
  • Undergraduate degree is required
