2019 Finance Analyst Development Program - Full Time - Sydney, Australia

What to expect:

• This two-year rotational program delivers in-depth industry training, one-on-one mentorship and hands-on experience.
• You’ll work across the firm to strategically manage capital, drive growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and manage risk.
• You’ll be placed as a member in one of the finance teams where you’ll work in one of the following Business groups: Business Management, Controller, Financial Analysis, and Project Management.
• You’ll provide information, analysis and recommendations to drive decisions that impact our financial results.
• You’ll also have the opportunity for continuing education and professional certifications such as Certified Professional Accountants (CPA).
• On completion of the program, we will work with you to identify your next role.  

You’ll make an impact by:

• Acting as a trusted advisor to business and group heads by identifying, escalating and mitigating business risks and optimizing business performance by driving key initiatives. 
• Helping create financial statements and controls.
• Performing critical reporting and controls functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory and product valuation.
• Creating meaningful analysis and reporting in support of our businesses.
• Coordinating with partners across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, creation, oversight and coordination of budgeting and forecasting.
• Contributing to programs that are large scale and comprised of multiple projects
• Experiencing ongoing technical and professional skills development  

About you

We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who have a passion for analyses that will help drive strategic business decisions.  

Key skills and interests include:  

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of financial statements, accounting procedures, internal and external reporting, and variance analysis
• A well-rounded academic background with an interest in financial management
• Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiency Relevant internship experience and leadership in school or community organizations
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale  
• Graduating in 2018 and able to join us full time in February 2019
• All eligible candidates must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application
