Market Adapter is an enterprise integration and trade processing automation platform. Our applications provide middleware and business solutions for market connectivity and back-office automation covering key markets in Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru).


We are looking for a Java Developer that wants to have hands-on experience with some of the most challenging concepts in enterprise software architecture and contribute to the next generation of technology solutions for one of the world’s largest financial services providers.


We use a Spring-based Java technology stack leveraging SOA patterns and are now migrating to a brand new cloud architecture implementing DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.


The role requires strong technical skills covering the whole development lifecycle including designing, building, testing and deploying software components.


Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of the Core development team you are expected to design, build and maintain components and services, contribute to architecture and design decisions, experiment and bring fresh ideas for continuously improving our technology and processes

Professional/Technical/Business Skills Required for Candidates:

  • 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring framework
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related area
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Architecture skills – Design Patterns, SOA, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Enterprise Service Bus, Microservices, Cloud-native architecture
  • Environments – Linux, Tomcat, Apache
  • Databases – Oracle/Sybase, O/R mapping frameworks (Hibernate, MyBatis)
  • Tools – Eclipse, Maven, Git
  • Agile development/DevOps – Kanban, Scrum, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (Jenkins), Test Automation
  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task, comfortable with change, ability to operate in an intense environment
  • Ability to work to deadlines, results-oriented, flexible, adaptable

Additional skills will be considered a plus:

  • Experience with cloud services/frameworks (Cloud Foundry, AWS, Spring Cloud Services, ELK)
  • Knowledge in financial products: Fixed Income, Equity Securities, Derivatives, FX
  • Experience with Pentaho ETL tool
