Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Digital Technology is searching for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who will play a pivotal role in the success of the organization, bridging the gap between the development, design and product management teams. BSA’s are expected to be SME’s on the features they work on, engaging in all phases of a project from Discovery to Testing. The BSA is a team player, problem solver and detail-oriented person.

The BSA typically (but is not limited to) performs the following:


  • Help manage project impacts across CCB.
  • Understand those downstream impacts of changes to both UI and web services and coordinate with all impacted teams to ensure they are in lock-step with each other from a delivery perspective.
  • Envision a story list and work with individual scrum teams to complete a detailed story that can be implemented into code.
  • Maintain a living evergreen repository so that we always have an understanding of our current state.
  • Juggle multiple projects at any given time, all with aggressive delivery expectations.
  • Form end-to-end test cases at a feature level that could later be automated.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated and strong hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst or a related discipline with an emphasis on delivering cutting edge technology
  • Flexibility to take on responsibilities not typically associated with a BSA, such as QA, Project Manager or Demand Manager responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of working with Agile Development teams.
  • Ability to read Java code and service definitions in order to understand existing system behavior is preferred.
  • SOAP, XML, JSON and other similar web service protocols/technologies experience would be desirable
  • SQL and database scripting, Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin scripting language is plus
  • Knowledge of test case creation and execution in Gherkin or something similar.
  • Knowledge of Retail/Consumer banking and investment products
  • Programming Languages experience is huge plus
  • Using JIRA or another tool to track project progression outside of Excel will be helpful.
