The Private Bank Wealth Management (WM) Operations Tax Analyst will be responsible for providing support to project managers assisting from initiation through implementation. The scope includes both business driven improvement projects and firm-initiated projects for Regulatory purposes. The Analyst will be expected to develop relationships and partner with internal operations, Corporate Tax, the front office and technology teams and other LOB’s as necessary during the requirement, build and testing phases of the project as well as the support of the production implementation. In addition, the Analyst will need to communicate and track project statuses across multiple project initiatives and may be called upon to coordinate production of management reporting for the entire project team.
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide support to project managers in analysis, document creation, presentations, follow-ups, and meeting minutes
  • Manage multiple efforts simultaneously across functions, business and organizational units
  • Work with business stakeholders to define and drive project definition, strategy development and execution
  • Responsible for creation and development of project plans, coordinating project status calls, delivery of periodic project status, including tracking all tasks to completion and escalation and resolution of issues or risks to the project delivery.
  • Escalate critical issues with a focus on resolution
  • Identify, analyze and document business requirements, test cases and test plans and conduct testing for process and/or technology enhancements
  • Assist in coordinating updates to forms, procedures, reference or training materials   
  • Communicate recommendations and program status to stakeholders and key business partners
  • Understand the impact of other firm-wide initiatives to appropriately and efficiently address deliverables
  • Develop a strong technical knowledge of the private bank tax operating systems

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong experience producing related documentation including status reports, detailed schedules (MS Project), polished presentations (PowerPoint), risk lists, action items and meeting minutes.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in written and verbal
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking and prioritizing skills
  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
  • A team player and adaptable to changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills with ability to work across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage a diverse stakeholder group
  • Excessive attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Interest in the nuances of Tax Regulations and their impact on internal processes and client interactions
  • Strategic thinker, challenge the “status quo” and streamline solutions
