The Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization is part of The Global Compliance & Regulatory Management organization which is responsible for the provision of compliance services to the Firm. The team covers both global and business-aligned functions supporting the firm's Anti-money laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-corruption programs and is led by the BSA/AML Officer and the AML Operations Executive.


This position is part of the firm’s GFCC SAR Program Analytics unit which is responsible for detailed analysis and support of the firm’s global transaction monitoring and investigation program to identify potentially suspicious money laundering and terrorist financing activity. The unit works with Coverage Strategy, FIU, GFCC Investigations, sector, regional and core leads to develop refine and implement business intelligence with a focus on monitoring the transaction monitoring strategies and investigation performance and results.


The GFCC SAR Program Analytics role will be responsible for developing ad-hoc and reoccurring strategic intelligence related for the SAR program and Coverage Strategy in support of the Global Financial Crimes Compliance organization and Lines of Business. The successful candidate needs demonstrate statistical, analytical and technical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and to observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of information received in the course of their responsibilities. In addition, the candidate needs to demonstrate strong banking and compliance knowledge in working AML/KYC related issues, strong communications skills; the ability to work independently, the willingness to work collaboratively across the various lines of business and is adaptable to change.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of complex analysis for optimal presentation to Global Compliance and Firm wide executives
  • Analyses of data and assist in the development of threshold levels with Coverage Strategy
  • Participate in the development of goals and execution of strategies within the function or department
  • Ensure key trends, issues, watch items are brought forward through intelligence presentations delivered to key stakeholders
  • Build relationships across investigations, KYC, lines of business, coverage strategy, technology, audit and program teams to accomplish end goals
  • Support project plans and deliverables often tied to regulatory commitments
  • Ensure high quality of all deliverables
  • Offer constructive solutions as needed to resolve issues
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Least five years of experience in banking compliance and working knowledge of AML/ KYC.
  • 2+ years advance analytical skills, problem solving, good analytical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Experience in the design and development of relational databases, SAS and Visual Basic Modules/programs
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Business Objects and SharePoint
  • Self-starter, capable of working under minimum supervision
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment
  • Results oriented team player
  • Strong problem management and problem investigation skills will the ability to learn new skills quickly to add value in problem focus areas
  • Experience in business process analysis, documenting gaps and process standardizations
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
  • Works well individually and in teams, shares information, supports colleagues and encourages participation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
