This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems 
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Working in agile/scrum environment and ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages Java/J2EE
  • Strong analysis, design, coding, review and debugging skills with Internet applications
  • Strong focus on time-management, decision-making, and project delivery
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
  • 10+ years of experience. Strong Core Java knowledge, Java Web Application development, Spring and RDMS experience
  • Experience with Java/J2EE with a deep understanding of the language and core API's, web services, multi-threaded/concurrent programming, XML, design patterns, Service Oriented 
  • REST/JSON/XML Web APIs Development experience.
  • Very good knowledge on JSON/AJAX/HTML/CSS along with object oriented JavaScript frameworks (jQuery/Angular JS/Ember)
  • Experience with development in Big Data environment (including but not limited to Hadoop, Elastic Search, Map Reduce, Hive, Kafka, storm, hbase, Elastic Search, Spark, mongoDB, Cassandra) is strong plus
