The Model Risk Governance and Review group in Risk Management undertakes projects to improve the overall model governance activities of the firm. Example projects include establishing model governance committees, mapping and analysis of model dependencies, enhancement of governance standards, governance of non-model estimation methods, etc.
  • Provide analysis of model risk metric trends and forecast progress towards meeting key thresholds
  • Develop enhanced and insightful reporting to the Board, Firmwide Estimations Risk Committee, LoB Estimation Risk Committees, Control Committees, etc.
  • Develop model interconnectedness related dashboards
  • Develop technology solutions to automate, maintain and report data
  • Interact with numerous stakeholders across the organization and senior management on ad-hoc requests

  • Skills Required

    • Minimum Bachelors or Master’s (preferred) degree in Finance/Business/Economics or in Computer Information Systems/Financial Engineering
    • 0-2 years’ experience as a business analyst in the financial industry
    • Proficiency in MS Excel is a must
    • Proficiency in MS Access, SQL, PowerPoint, SharePoint required
    • Comfortable working with large datasets for deep dive analysis
    • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Qlikview preferred
    • Experience with graph database tools such as Neo4j and Gephi is a plus but not required
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to generate support from a wide-range of stakeholders and create a strong network of relationships among peers
    • Knowledge of financial modeling (e.g., probability theory, statistics, numerical analysis) is a plus but not required
    • Intellectually curious, adaptable and flexible team player who works well under pressures/tight timelines
