The Asset Management Global Head of Strategy and Business Transformation team provides strategic support to the Asset Management business. This role manages two integrated teams across the globe. The Strategy team focuses on the strategic agenda of the Asset Management business and the lines of business within it. They provide commercial evaluation in order to give vision and direction on the business as a whole, as well as development of new businesses, products and markets. The Business Transformation team partners with lines of business within Asset Management to improve their operating models, resulting in better processes, controls and financial results. They also lead regulatory initiatives across the business.

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Asset Management CEO and leadership team to shape the business strategy

  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders in order to identify strategic business goals and change initiatives, and guide and support decisions on growth and profitability improvement initiatives

  • Develop business plans and engage senior leadership from products, distribution channels, customer experience, and business functions to execute strategy

  • Use both vision and analysis to unlock business problems and build compelling fact based strategic recommendations, which successfully engage stakeholders

  • Support business delivery of identified initiatives (regulatory, control, distribution and product driven)

  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver operational implementations

  • Motivate, mentor and lead talented professionals to deliver outstanding results

Skills Required:

  • Strong credibility and experience in the global asset management industry

  • Consulting ability to determine context, collate relevant facts/data, analyze and coherently articulate the challenge, potential solutions and recommended solution

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization.

  • Management of a large global team with the ability to recruit and shape a multi-functional, dynamic, flexible, global team to ensure broad asset management expertise across distribution channels, products and different markets

  • Vision, creativity, presence, and credibility. A collaborative and flexible style. Ability to interact effectively with senior Asset Management leadership and business sponsors

  • Reactive to changing requirements and scenarios

  • Ability to steer and multi-task across a wide portfolio of initiatives

  • Balanced, thoughtful demeanour

  • Transparent, honest approach to managing challenges

  • Project management expertise strongly preferred

     

     

Qualifications:

  • Asset management experience essential. Experience in both management consulting and internal strategic consulting within the financial services industry is highly preferred

  • 15+ year’s growth and go-to market strategies for financial institutions

  • Experience in regulatory and control efforts is beneficial

  • An outstanding ability to apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)

  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels (including C – Level) and across a variety of lines of businesses

  • Proven organizational ability and working within tight deadlines, often under pressure.
