Position:
This role is for a Proposal Writer within the TS APAC Proposals Team, with the primary responsibility of managing the proposal generation and delivery process, end-to-end.  The Proposal Writer will provide critical support to the overall sales process by generating customized, compelling and persuasive Sales Proposals in response to global, regional and single country RFP/RFI requests from prospective and existing clients within the Corporate, Banks & Broker Dealers, and Non-Bank Financial Institution segments. 
 
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring the Coverage/Sales Teams’ adherence to the established deal assessment process prior to working on each RFP/RFI project to instill the necessary deal screening discipline
  • Project managing and controlling the end-to-end bid process, ensuring that RFP/RFI proposals are completed in line with set timelines and comply with prescribed global procedures
  • Preparing, maintaining and managing the proposal project plan and project matrix outlining all project deliverables, responsible stakeholders, milestones and resources
  • Seeking and coordinating timely input from the relevant subject matter experts
  • Conducting regular review meetings to ensure adherence to action items and target dates by all deal team members and stakeholders
  • Ensuring timely escalation of any issues
  • Generating high quality proposals in both form and content, which accurately reflect the products and services as well as the value proposition of J.P. Morgan
  • Preparing the initial draft using the global content database and other relevant sources
  • Ensuring that each RFP/RFI question or stated requirement has been appropriately and fully addressed
  • Incorporating all information into a presentable and professional proposal in compliance with the standard global template and any specific formatting specifications as may be required by the client
  • Collaborating actively with the Coverage/Sales Teams, as well as the relevant Product Managers and subject matter experts in developing and crafting customized solutions to address specific client requirements
  • Ensuring that all required internal approvals and senior management sign-offs have been secured by TSMs prior to submission of the proposal, including approvals for non-standard product and service offerings
  • Working in close coordination with other regional proposal team members for global bids to ensure that APAC content is relevant and accurate in line with the agreed products and services to be proposed
  • Working in close conjunction with the Presentations Team and the Graphics Team in ensuring presentation decks and brochures are consistent with proposed solutions in the RFP response
  • Coordinating with subject matter experts and the SalesHub Team to update the central knowledge database as responses are created, developed and enhanced
  • Ensuring that all new responses crafted for RFP/RFI proposals are communicated to the SalesHub team within two weeks of the proposal submission
  • Keeping up-to-date with all new product enhancements, roll-outs and modifications to ensure that proposed products and services in RFP/RFI proposals remain current
  • Communicating product updates promptly to the SalesHub team to ensure these are captured accordingly in the database system
  • Updating all deal trackers promptly and accurately on the status of both in-flight and completed proposals
  • Updating of monthly reports including deal scorecard and win-loss ratio analysis
  • Adhering to all J.P. Morgan departmental policies and procedures
Experience and Skills:
Candidates must possess a combination of the following skills and experience:
  • A minimum of five years’ experience, preferably in Treasury Services
  • Experience in proposal writing a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of cash and liquidity management products
  • Sound project management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Highly collaborative with an ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent desktop publishing skills, including a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and other MS-Office applications.
