Commercial Banking - Technology Business Manager - VP

CB Tech Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team provides oversight and support for Commercial Banking’s Technology Organization, a $140MM line of business consisting of approximately 750 employees and consultants supporting 142 applications. The group is responsible for all aspects of financial and business management services covering financial planning and forecasting, project billing, investment portfolio management, program management office, resource management, business performance and financial reporting.

CB Tech F&BM is seeking a Senior Business Manager who will be responsible for supporting CB Tech’s MMBSI and CCBSI CTOs directly and CB Tech’s CIO as needed for ad-hoc request. The Senior Business Manager reports directly to the Business and Finance Management Executive, and matrices to the CTOs providing full business management coverage.

The candidate should have experience in finance or business management related roles supporting technology organizations, have a good working knowledge of financial systems, and processes, as well as experience managing extremely large data sets and using aggregation tools to consolidate data into meaningful reporting views. The role has a high level of interaction with the technology CTOs, resource mangers and finance planning and analysis teams.  The candidate must be able to organize and deliver monthly and ad hoc requests, and quickly define views that provide insight to senior management.  The role demands superior analytical skills, presentation skills, technical abilities, and flexibility to be successful.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Management

• Preparation of CTO MBRs to review financials, headcount, and projects deliverables providing business commentary highlighting key variances and trends
• Track and monitor key business metrics to help inform CTOs of monthly business performance highlighting risks and opportunities
• Partner with Finance P&A to provide financial analysis for monthly deliverables supporting CB and Corporate Sector
• Collaborate with CTOs to develop annual business cases and investment charter in support of Commercial Banking Investment Committee (CBIC)
• Lead the financial planning process to facilitate resource allocations in Clarity and program-level business case preparation for funding approval
• Drive weekly/monthly Clarity data hygiene reviews to ensure accurate forecasting
• Assist in creating Flash, EMR, QBR, and ad-hoc presentations for senior management
• Review and maintain project billing keys and application TCO percentages
• Track resource utilization and allocation against priorities and initiatives using Clarity
• Review monthly LOB allocations focusing on actuals versus budget variances
• Ad-hoc presentations and analysis supporting various request and projects

Resource Management

• Partner with CTOs to actively manage headcount targets comparing actuals versus budget/forecastMange resource approval process within CB Tech for FTEs and FTCs ensuring request are within budget
• Review Clarity time entry report to ensure compliance and accuracy of project financials
