CCB Risk
Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others


The Business Banking Risk Reporting Associate will organize, plan, and direct Concept, Requirements, & Analysis phase deliverables for medium sized projects. Their responsibilities will include documenting high-level business requirements as a result of process analysis and business interviewing activities, conducting research and impact analysis, root cause analysis, and performs AS-Is process mapping related to the assigned project. The role will be involved in driving reporting solutions to address current gaps with data warehouse technology team, reporting teams, and analytics teams.
Initial activities will focus on report development with the automation of reporting using industry standard reporting tools like SAS, Cognos, and Tableau.  This includes data mining activities to understand complex data relationships during the discovery phase of the projects.  The role will participate in validation activities of reports in support of a firm wide initiative resulting from the principles issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) that set standards for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting. Implementation of these standards is critical to strengthen CCB’s data aggregation capabilities and risk reporting practices.
This person will also participate on data related projects throughout requirements phases of the Project Life Cycle for medium to large-sized projects using the standard business/IT collaborative approach. Projects can be high profile with significant bottom-line impact, highly complex, strategic in nature and enterprise-wide.
  • Developing management reports using industry standard reporting tools (SAS, Cognos, or Tableau)
  • Activities include data mining, report build and automation, and ability to understand complex data relationships
  • Identifies areas of improvement with existing processes and develops solutions that meet the needs of Business Banking Risk
  • Execution and validation of monthly regulatory reports utilized by external regulators and senior level executives in Business Banking
  • Testing and reconciliation of Risk data with Finance data.  Adhere to firmwide reporting controls and governance to address variances and gaps.
  • Actively participates in Requirements, Testing, and Quality Peer Review sessions
  • Creative thinker that can define new alternatives to address the enhanced control environment
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams
  • 4 year college degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of business analysis experience in business process and technology integration projects
  • Experience with data environments, report writing tools (SAS, Cognos, or Tableau), advanced SQL and understanding of complex data relationships often found in large scale data warehouse environments
  • Independent worker that can manage scope, escalate issues and concerns, communicate effectively to management
  • Working knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Experience driving business requirements through SDLC and coordinating the execution of project plans Strong experience with data models, data warehousing, data quality concepts, automated testing, testing tools, writing test plans, and reviewing test cases.
