Wealth Management Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Asset and Wealth Management line of business. The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals. Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. Wealth Management Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with client service, fiduciary, product specialty groups, third party vendors and other internal groups.

Group Overview
The Investments Middle Markets Business Analytics team is focused on delivering high impact strategic initiatives for the Private Bank (UHNW) and Private Wealth Management (HNW). The group acts as an internal consultant, partnering with Senior Management to deliver on the business objectives for the year. A role on the Business Analytics team is one that emphasizes strengths in Investments, Credit, Banking, or Fiduciary knowledge, project management, dissecting problems, and effective communication. Time is spent on both tactical projects to support key business decisions and strategic projects to further promote the business agenda.

Position Summary
As a Business Analytics & Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for executing key deliverables within the strategic business agenda across UHNW and HNW. You will ultimately be responsible for providing periodic analytics and standalone business tools across the Investments, Credit, Banking or Fiduciary platform that will drive business decisions and execution, solve business needs, and mitigate risk. You will work across the organization including, Senior Management, Product Groups, Investor Relations, Finance, Front Office and Business Risk Management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and defining business needs in the context of short and long term objectives
  • Synthesizing raw data into actionable insights to drive business results and analyze trends
  • Analyzing data, processes, organization and supporting applications
  • Identifying weaknesses, gaps and opportunities for improvement - and reporting the findings in a simple, compelling way
  • Working across the business to implement new processes, MIS, applications and organizational changes
  • Measuring results - business, client and employee impact
  • Partner with Plan and Build teams to effectively communicate business requirements and lead project delivery and implementation
  • Series 99 required within 120 days of hire.
  • 2-4 years experience with exposure/involvement in one or more of the following areas: Private Banking, Investments, management consulting, project management, process improvement.
  • 1-2 years experience working with SQL or similar query language.
  • Strong Access and Excel skills.
  • Qlikview or other visualization tool knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong Data Analytical skills.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
