The CIB Oversight & Control group is responsible for defining and overseeing the global CIB control environment with a key emphasis on ensuring a robust end-to-end risk and control framework is in place with consistent execution across all CIB businesses. In support of the business the CIB Oversight & Control group is directly responsible for:
  • Governance & Oversight: provides administrative support for Business Control Committees
  • Regulatory Management: manages control aspects of Regulatory inquires & exams 
  • Risk Identification & Assessment: Manages Risk Control Self Assessment program, review and validation of Operational risk events.
  • Policy & Procedure: Supports the implementation of Policies.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Oversees issues & action plans, operational loss and root cause analysis.
  • Major Control programs: Provides governance, coordination and execution of control projects
The CIB Governance Rationalization and Regulatory Controls group a function within CIB Oversight & Control is primarily responsible for the implementation and ongoing oversight of the CIB controls governance framework and the program management of major regulatory and firmwide control programs. 
The AML/OFAC Risk Assessment Manager will work across Front Office, Business Management and Compliance to continue to evolve and enhance oversight of the AML/OFAC control environment.  Overseeing the delivery of the annual CIB AML/OFAC risk assessment to senior management and ensuring the business understands the Inherent Risk from and effectiveness of controls supporting AML and sanctions processes.  Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the annual CIB AML/OFAC Risk Assessment process
  • Project Managing the annual Firmwide Country and Legal Entity AML/OFAC Risk Assessment process
  • Working with Corporate Compliance to implement enhancements to LOB and Country Risk Assessment
  • Oversight of the CIB AML/OFAC Control environment
  • Managing the CIB AML Risk Tolerance Process

Managing the AML Risk Exit Clearinghouse

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey
  • complex ideas simply
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills - able to create individual slides and structure presentations with minimal input and need for secondary review

  • Extensive relevant industry experience, ideally coupled with Controls,
  • Compliance or Regulatory Change experience
  • Strong knowledge of and/or experience in wholesale financial services
  • Audit or Controls background
  • Strong managerial experience with the ability to manage a global team and
  • work in a matrix organization
