Team Description

The Investment Coverage team (IBC) generates consistent and growing revenue annually and is a global leader in M&A, DCM/Leverage Finance and ECM. IBC supports the needs of institutional clients worldwide, with a strong focus on government and semi-government entities as well as financial institutions. The MENA IBC team has local presence in Dubai, Doha and Riyadh.

Job Description

Summary of the role: Client execution role across M&A/ECM/DCM mandates, working with other LoBs to increase penetration into corporate and governments entities

As a Senior Associate/ VP in the MENA Investment Banking team your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
•Interaction with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions
•Lead efforts to originate Investment Banking business, including overseeing the preparation of origination proposals and presentations and client negotiations
•Lead client meetings on strategic discussions such as those relating to mergers & acquisitions and capital raising
•Overseeing the execution of Investment Banking transactions from origination through to deal closure (IB transactions covers M&A, Equity Capital Markets, and Debt Capital Markets)
•Leverage global product and industry partners to assist clients in their strategy and providing the appropriate solutions
•Relevant experience in the financial services industry, with a significant part from regional market experience
•Excellent reputation in the market place
•Strong local market knowledge, including corporates, financial institutions and SWF coverage
•Proven ability to adopt and align a firm's global strategy to the local market
•Strong IB product knowledge
•Knowledge of credit, risk and corporate governance and a clear understanding of regulatory issues
•Excellent command in English essential. Arabic desirable
•A team player able to develop meaningful and effective working relationship with fellow colleagues across products and geographies in a collaborative style
•International experience gained within a multicultural and multi-product matrix organization
•A self-starter with energy, drive and a high degree of self-motivation to ensure the continued growth of the business
