Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries
Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) is a Commercial Banking business located in 101 offices across the US and Canada. MMBSI provides credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to corporations, municipalities and not-for-profit entities via our Core Banking or Specialized Industries teams. Core Banking teams generally focus on clients with annual revenues of $20 million to $500 million. Within our Specialized Industries practice, we have experts strategically focused on serving businesses within a variety of industry segments, including, but not limited to: Agribusiness, Government, Healthcare and Technology. In MMBSI, our competitive advantages include robust international capabilities, the ability to provide clients with access to world-class investment banking solutions and our focus on industry specialization. As a Region Manager in Middle Market Banking, you will focus on Middle Market corporate banking relationships in the Long Island & Queens markets. Core Banking teams generally focus on clients with annual revenues of $20 million to $500 million. Our local delivery model, coupled with the firm’s global resources, allows us to provide clients with customized, comprehensive solutions and exceptional service.
Your responsibilities will include leading Market Executives and Bankers in their business development efforts to attract and expand banking relationships with Middle Market companies. You will drive the sales strategy for the region, serve as a player/coach by maintaining a small portfolio of your own, and represent the firm externally in the market. The Region Manager will report directly to the Northeast Segment Head.
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA desired
Typically at least fifteen years in account relationship management with demonstrated, high-level of success in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams within a business development environment
Strong management skills - must have previous management experience in a Commercial Banking setting
Demonstrated experience in cross-selling products and an ability and track record to meet or exceed aggressive sales goals
Formal Credit Training
Knowledge and/or connection to the region a plus
FINRA securities licenses 79, 63 and 24 are required for the position; however, unlicensed candidates considered but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
The final officer title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer. It may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level.
Position is a Managing Director eligible role; Executive Directors will need to go through LOB’s Managing Director promotion process
