As a senior technology architect and innovation lead you will be responsible for targeted simplification of the Custody & Funds Services (C&FS) technology ecosystem using fail/win fast innovation. You will drive the innovation agenda in the Dublin technology site (particularly in the areas of data access, intelligent data channels and next generation data platforms) and will participate and lead the design authority function across the C&FS line of business. You will have an expert level understanding of the front to back technology and operational processes in C&FS. You will report directly to the Global Head of Architecture for Custody & Funds Services.
Core Requirements:
  • 12+ years experience senior development experience (5 of which must be in an architecture role)
  • Deep understanding of Investor Services Business, core flows and functional components.
  • As necessary, will be able to switch between leading a strategic program and immersing in the detail of execution. Conduct first phase analysis to propose an initial design for each initiative including cost/benefit analysis and early prioritization.
  • Assist in the design authority of critical C&FS initiatives.
  • Experience in the engagement and evaluation of vendor technologies in an Investor services context.
  • Experience in establishment/management of either a virtual or physical “Innovation Lab” or regional ”Technology Hub”.
  • Experience in engagement with external innovation support agencies and FINTech community.
Technology Skills
  • (Highly Desirable) Metrics generation for Operational Analytics of C&FS.
  • (Highly Desirable) Experience with Big Data and Data Access Platforms (APIs), Blockchain
  • (Highly Desirable) Any of Qlik, R, Microsoft Luis, Amazon Alexa, Mahoot, Kafka
  • (Highly Desirable) Architectural design patterns and tools (UML, Magic Draw, Visio)
  • (Highly Desirable) Any of QPiD, GemFire, MariaDB, Symphony
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computing/Engineering or cognate field.
