J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Global Fixed Income, Commodities and Currency (GFICC) team manages Global fixed income portfolios for a wide range of private and institutional investors around the world, including the Asia Pacific region. As at 30 June 2017, the GFICC group managed over USD458 billion in assets. Our Asian business has grown tremendously over the last few years such that today we manage over USD9 billion of Asian (ex-Japan) fixed income assets and oversee USD19 billion in global fixed income assets sourced from Asian (ex-Japan) institutional and retail clients.


Role and responsibilities:

  • Be instrumental in making credit recommendations to portfolio managers managing Asian credits, emerging market debt, and greater GFICC mandates

  • Able to present a clear view in the relative investment positions or weights of respective bonds under coverage

  • Being able to be independent in his / her own credit coverage area, by being vigilant on industry and market developments, fundamental and valuation changes

  • Solid financial analytics forecasting and modelling skill needed

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, so that investment opinions are well translated and delivered to respective investors

  • Be flexible to adapt to the investment process of the organization, which may be modified from time to time

  • Relevant experience of 6 years and above

  • Fluent English and mandarin is a must, due to predominant Chinese credit coverage

  • Past experiences with industrials, and metal mining sectors preferred, but we are open to consider any strong analyst in their own rights, that we deem to provide a good fit to the team
