Global Equities is part of the IB and offers solutions, which include trade execution, program and special equity trading services; equity-linked services and structuring for new equity-linked issuances; marketing, structuring and trading services on equity-based or fund-based derivatives products; and a wide range of research, sales, execution, clearing, financing and reporting services.





J.P. Morgan is seeking to recruit an Exchange Traded Product derivatives trader. The individual will be required to make prices for our wide variety of ETPs across European markets. The business is currently being rolled out and will eventually include cross-asset products, besides the current range of index and single stock equity products. The individual will be required to risk manage existing positions and also generate, to market make a wide range ofETPs with different payouts and underlyer asset classes. . The individual will be required to work on projects to develop further our flow franchise. The desk has 14 trading hours to cover every day, and the individual will be required to be working flexible hours.


Previous experience is helpful, as we require the successful candidate to hit the ground running immediately and take over a trading book, after some training and the required trading exams.

Skills & qualifications


  • A good understanding in option pricing

  • Demonstrate very good knowledge and understanding of the equity markets and of the main equity indices

  • Be able to perform in a challenging, fast-paced environment

  • Have outstanding communication skills as you will interact extensively within direct colleagues as well as with the sales forces and support functions

  • Have a strong mathematical background for pricing derivatives products

  • Extensive experience in a relevant Financial services field (ideally IB) with immediately transferable skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the above mentioned products

  • As the desk is servicing markets on the European continent, language skills beyond English are helpful, but not required.


This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
