This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to develop a strong presence for J.P. Morgan Asset Management in the retail market in Australia. Reporting to the Head of Funds Australia, you will be responsible for developing our sales footprint from both key retail distributors and IFA’s in both the NSW and QLD market. You will raise the profile of our retail business by engaging at senior management level and execute our sales strategy to a broad set of clients.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and implement successful key account management strategies including achieving approved product list and model portfolio inclusions with non institutional IFA / licensees.
  • Achieve new funds flow sales targets for assigned national key dealer group accounts.
  • Be an integral part of the sales team in building the retail distribution capability and sales effort for J.P. Morgan Asset Management in the Northern region.
  • Seek out and develop new business opportunities, relationships and channels to meet sales budgets.
  • Champion J.P. Morgan's presence in the marketplace.
  • Speak at and attend industry and dealer group PD days and conferences.

To be successful, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance or a related discipline
  • At least three years of experience in a similar business development role.
  • A proven track record in business development and key account management in retail funds management.  
  • Expertise in investment strategies across various asset classes.
  • Strong understanding of the financial planning industry and strategic business relationships.
  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
