Business Description:  Agency Collateral Management provides value added services to clients primarily engaged in Derivatives and Securities Finance activities.  The business acts as agent and manages collateral exchanged between counterparties to meet their agreed-upon obligations.  The two core products include Securities Collateral Management (SCM) and Derivatives Collateral Management (DCM).  SCM is a tri-party agency service supporting collateral eligibility testing, securities safekeeping, and reporting for mostly repo and securities lending transactions.  DCM facilitates client management of their OTC and cleared derivatives margin obligations.

Team Description: The Collateral Management product development team develops and delivers new or enhanced services to support our clients in managing collateral for their portfolio of trading activity. The team provides collateral agency services to all segments within Investor Services, including broker dealers, asset managers, insurance companies, hedge funds, pension funds, corporations, public sector and government entities.
Responsibilities:  Partner with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions, on time, and on budget
  • Ensure product investment is clearly aligned to commercial business objective
  • Identify & deliver profitable, efficient, and effective product enhancements
  • Build business cases and drive execution of new product capabilities and/or entering new markets or target segments
  • Work with Senior Product Managers to position product and present key messages to external clients/prospects as well as JPMorgan senior management
  • Understand the risk profile of each initiative and ensuring that it is compliant with guidelines
  • Understanding the evolution of the markets in which we operate and incorporating change into the product roadmap(s) 
The successful candidate will have worked in a Collateral Management or Custody environment for a minimum of 5 years in an Operations, Product Development, or Product Management role. The role will initially focus on the DCM product development agenda but will ultimately span the all Collateral products and so the candidate must be:
  • A team player with the ability to  lead and motivate people across the bank
  • Results oriented: Drive results through people, communication, influence management and interactions.
  • Strong Analytical/Quantitative skills, using programs such as Microsoft Office (particularly EXCEL and Powerpoint)
  • A confident communicator in all mediums across varied audiences combined with the ability to interact with senior executives
  • Able to multi-task effectively, prioritize workloads, and manage multiple streams of work concurrently
  • An initiative-taker: be able to move initiatives forward in a cross-functional model
  • Able to maintain close working relationship with Product Management, Client Service and Technology managers to ensure customer satisfaction and product profitability
  • Able to think outside of the box with the vision, energy and practical execution skills to deliver accordingly
