Global Financial Messaging (GFM) is part of EMEA Banking Operations and is a shared utility providing critical SWIFT connectivity processing more than 3.5mm SWIFT messages per day for the Bank. The Bournemouth team maintains a strong partnership with the Bangalore team in a mirrored set-up. The role is for a Transaction Processing Manager in the Bournemouth office.
As a Transaction Processing Manager you will be responsible for supervising and managing workflow for up to 9 staff across 3 sub teams as well as managing own workload. The successful candidate will be keen to progress, possess advanced multi-tasking capability, have a risk-based approach and have a thirst for knowledge in a technically inclined operational role.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Supervise and manage workload of Bournemouth staff across multiple sub-teams alongside own workload
  • Integrate with mirrored remote teams and managers
  • Adhere and enforce operational control and risk best practices
  • Input and complete weekly and monthly team/department metrics
  • Completion of process reviews and implementation of operational improvements and projects
  • Provide input into management meetings and team direction
  • Understand full end-to-end processes to an in-depth level
  • Engage in issue management and resolution
  • Provide succinct updates to functional and departmental managers
  • Create network across Tech, Ops, product etc.
