The Bournemouth Technology Hub at Chaseside plays a critical role in ensuring that the firm’s adoption of Cloud complies with control, cybersecurity, legal and regulatory requirements.
To meet our growing ambitions in Cloud, we now need to expand our Bournemouth team with new talent.
 
Execution and delivery will be achieved through partnership across many different technology and business teams to provide high quality control solutions and services that are focused on improving the Firm's risk posture. 
 
Role Description
 
As part of the Enterprise Technology (Cloud) Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team, this role represents a great opportunity to help transform the way that one of the world’s largest organisations manages technology risk and controls.
 
The Cloud Controls Manager will manage and contribute directly to:
  • Identifying the controls needed to support safe, secure, resilient and controlled adoption of Public Cloud
  • Ensuring that regulatory and legal requirements are identified and met through control adoption
  • Developing a Cloud Controls strategy and roadmap
  • Working with the LOBs and regions to leverage and integrate best practice ideas, tools and innovation for firm-wide re-use and build out

Evaluating emerging technologies and driving continuous imrpovements to existing processes and tools

 
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
  • Some experience in IT, IT Risk, or IT Controls, is essential, but candidates do not necessarily have to have worked previously in IT risk or IT control roles, or in ‘Cloud’
  • Analytical mindset; able to work back to first principles or perform root cause analysis
  • Proven ability to use Excel or other tools to analyse and present data
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence with tact and assertiveness; strong collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to strive for 100% when required, and to be pragmatic (‘80/20 rule’) on other occasions
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
    Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
  • CISSP/CRISC/CISM or equivalent industry certifications
  • Knowledge of industry-standard risk/control frameworks: ITIL, COSO, NIST, COBIT, etc.
  • Understanding of technology controls within technology environment in a financial organization
  • Architectural skills including design documentation, diagrammatical representations, requirements management
  • Broad understanding of range of different technologies including operating systems, databases, end user, networking, secutiry, datacenters, virtualization and also application development lifecycle
  • Experience in working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment and manage change effectively
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, effective under pressure
