Description
The Forecasting and Capital Solutions team is a new group in the GF&BM organization responsible for working in close partnership with Technology to service other GF&BM teams and for ensuring the execution of a cohesive strategy across the firm’s forecasting and capital tools with the goal of refining and enhancing JPMC’s capabilities.
 
The group currently has oversight of 3 key platforms:
  • F3 is an enterprise-wide forecasting and analytical platform that aims to provide a one stop shop for forecasting and analytics with robust controls and oversight by  integrating estimations in the firm with authoritative data sources and an enriched advanced analytics layer
  • Capital Desktop is a central platform for RWA actual computation including results, data collection, calculations, operational workflow, manual adjustments, reporting & analytics for RCMO, LOB Controllers, Risk, and CP&A
  • Neutron is an integrated calculation engine (i.e., aggregation, consolidation and validation calculations) and reporting system for capital stress testing
This position provides a rare opportunity for motivated candidates to learn current forecasting and capital process and methodologies across various Business Units and products across the firm. The position involves interaction with senior management in several teams across the firm including Business Units and Corporate finance functions, model development, technology & operations, regulatory capital management office and controllers organization. The ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively across these boundaries will be one of the keys to success.
 

The Firmwide Forecast Control Lead is responsible for facilitating LOB forecast processes through central oversight, control, and governance over end-to-end forecast production ensuring the integrity of the forecast for stress testing and budget. Key responsibilities include creating a new function for:


  • Centralization and control of forecast results
    • Central distribution of forecast modeled outputs to the LOBs for key internal and regulatory exercises
    • Central consumption and monitoring of non-modeled estimates
    • Development and enforcement of standards and controls for modeled and non-modeled forecast estimates including issues and errors
    • Coordination with LOBs on review, sign-off and attestation of modeled and non-modeled forecast outputs
    • Oversight on forecast model deployment and execution
    • Liaise with model development and other stakeholders on model launch point data quality and controls
  • - Tracking and remediation of manual forecast intervention
    • Monitoring adjustments/overlays to forecast modeled outputs
    • Facilitating and monitoring data enrichment needs that impact forecast modeled outputs
    • Development of metrics on adjustments to assist in prioritization of book of work on forecast modeled and non-modeled enhancements
  • Automation and Process improvement
    • Automation of new operating model via integration to target state platforms
    • Liaise with LOBs on connecting LOB and Corporate systems/workflows to improve end to end process


Qualifications

· 15 years of relevant experience, background in financial institution or accounting firm

· Proven track record of operating as ED with strong business and financial acumen and change management experience

· Proven leadership in establishing goals, metrics and driving and tracking optimization opportunities by creating a continuous improvement culture

· Extensive knowledge of CCAR, DFAST, GAAP accounting, and Basel Capital rules

· Experience with budgeting and budgeting processes

· Excellent control mindset and experience with control operating model

· Experience interacting with and influencing Senior Management

· Proven experience automating financial business processes. Innovative thinker

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills with focus on controls

· Excellent interpersonal skills to drive change and collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups
