Duties: Assist with design, development, and deployment of various application components. Analyze business IT requirements and participate in project planning sessions with businesses, business analysts, and team members. Participate in all stages of collaborative applications development process, including design, implementation, testing, and production support. Responsible for user interface (UI/UX) design of scope for each sprint, front-end and back-end Java development, SQL development, business process analysis, software testing, and technical writing. Monitor the evaluation, analysis, and modification of existing models, programs/systems of moderate complexity taking into account changes in user requirements and equipment configurations. Perform production support in a maintenance environment and the development, implementation and maintenance of BackOffice Operations systems.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as Software/Applications Developer, Consultant (IT), or related occupation. Experience may be gained pre- or post- Bachelor's degree.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: trading, compliance, and portfolio management applications; object-oriented (OO) analysis and design; Java 1.7 and 1.8; J2SE; Spring Framework; ORM and JTA; Web Services; TDD; XML; JAXB or JiBX; Oracle; stored procedures; tuning SQL statements; writing indexes; Hibernate; i-Batis; multi-threaded systems; String Boot automated test; JUnit; Fitnesse; and Agile methodology.
