Job Description

 

VP of this group needs to have good understanding of financial markets (US/UK), Asset Pricing fundamentals, good understanding of the securities reference data management. And list of skills mentioned below in Key Performance Areas

Purpose

·         Oversight for this group has a key role to play to manage Operations, Securities Data, and Pricing Data, Index and Benchmark Data, Manage data quality issues, global data model, resiliency of daily deliverables and implementation of Workflow tool for asset set up and maintenance function. Group support multiple stake holders across operations and middle office groups. Criticality of the role is to be able to provide support for daily business deliverables & manager multiple stakeholders from operations & Middle office groups.

·         Team supports Portfolio managers, Middle office group and Operations groups. Group operates in a requestor driven environment with multiple stakeholders and two geographies. Team needs to execute the requests per strict turn around time of One hour and 30 minutes for traders to execute the orders.

 

Key Performance Areas and % Time:

Accuracy: Monitor & Perform Instruments/ securities reference data management (New asset set ups, Data Enrichments)

  • Service Level agreement is monitored through work flow tool, 
  • There is no tolerance to errors
  • Build enhancement in instrument master to enhance manual intervention
  • Participate/Drive Global projects

Qualification: Graduate, Post Graduate

Experience:

•Securities and Pricing reference data management

•Understanding of Key aspects of Investment Management

•Exposure to Bloomberg, Instrument Master, Accounting platforms

•Candidate with (3 -5+ years) In depth understanding of Securities reference data can be considered

•Value creator

•Good knowledge of Financial Markets, products and markets Definitions

•Preferably Subject Matter Expert on Client, Instruments and Pricing Reference Data.

•Project Management - Timely Execution of Projects

•Meticulous attention to detail

•Indepth knowledge of Financial Markets, products and markets Definitions

 

Technical Skills:

•Fixed Income – 3

•Equities - 2

•Bloomberg – 3

•MS  Excel – 3

•Portfolio management – 2

•Communication – Spoken & Written - 3

•Portfolio Compliance Monitoring & Coding Applications – 2 (add on)

•Work Flow management – Ongoing assessment of Capacity & revisiting operating model for the team

•Being expert in MS Office. It would be preferable to have a candidate with advance excel knowledge and ability to develop UT
