The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).
CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.
A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:
• Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
• Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
• Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
• Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
• Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency
The Legal, Compliance Technology organization (LCT) provides technology solutions for the global compliance teams across all JP Morgan Chase lines of business. The LCT application portfolio is experiencing significant growth as the firm wide focus on regulatory management and reporting has increased. LCT is responsible for partnering with our clients to evolve business capabilities and improve end user experience with our solutions and services.
The Java Application Developer is responsible for providing high quality technology solutions that address the business needs for Corporate Technology & Risk team supporting Compliance.
In this role, the Application Developer will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the project including design, build, test and implementation phases, ensuring quality and accuracy is maintained and on-going support.
Development and support of Java Web Applications and services as specified by our business partners. This includes developing new features and problem identification and resolution. The applications utilize technologies including Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle PL/SQL.
Support applications in production managed by the Application Management team
Adhere to all corporate and departmental standards and policies
Maintain and enhance existing Web based applications as needed.
Tune application code for optimal performance.
Work with customers to understand application/ project requirements for new projects and enhancements.
Organize multiple work tasks and prioritize them to meet deadlines
Help end-users using a "consultative" approach
Trouble shoot issues reported by end-users (Application and Data)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor or higher degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of Java, J2EE, J2EE Design Patterns ,JavaScript, JQuery,  Spring,  Servlets, AJAX, Ant, Maven, log4j, JUNIT, Apache Tomcat, System Integration/Browser Test Automation (Selenium, etc.), TDD, BDD with Cucumber, Manual Test Scripts execution
Experience in Oracle PL/SQL scripting
Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
Strong oral and writing communication skills to be able to communicate with all levels of leadership and technical staff
Ability to recognize problems, gather facts, and analyze information
Ability to work under pressure and proactively follow through on multiple concurrent initiatives
High level of personal commitment to each task - a "can do" attitude and a drive to deliver
Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking
Ability to gather and understand requests and requirements
High level of responsibility and ownership from inception to completion
Ability to work independently or with a team
