The Regulatory Capital Management Office (RCMO) oversees the end-to-end risk weighted assets (RWA) and capital measurement process across the Firm, and to help ensure efficient and appropriate management of capital. RCMO is an arm of Corporate Finance and partners with functional groups across the firm inclusive of market risk, model developers, corporate financial reporting and line-of-business product controllers to establish control and governance best practices and accountability for the Regulatory Capital process to generate the firm’s risk-weighted assets.

The Data Governance and Management group within RCMO is responsible for creating the RCMO Data Roadmap to ensure a high degree of data integrity across the Regulatory Reporting including Basel and CCAR. The data management strategy includes:

 Adhering to Data Management standards and generating compliance metrics

 Identifying, defining and managing Critical Data Elements (CDEs)

 Collecting data requirements from data consumers of CDEs within their domain

 Oversee management and resolution of data quality issues owned/impacted by domain

 Assessing the impact due to proposed definitional or business rule changes of a CDE within their domain

 Communicating data requirements to data providers and monitoring compliance to these requirements

The Data Governance and Management Analyst is responsible for driving delivery of the RCMO Data Management Program and supporting the data strategy projects including the CDE process, identifying business rules for CDEs, ensure business rules are implemented in the infrastructure and data quality issues are reported accurately. The candidate will lead efforts in developing data management framework and strategic solutions. The candidate will work closely with the Chief Data Office (CDO) Team, Technology Teams, Data Strategy, Lines of Business and Risk to advance the firm’s data management agenda.

Specific responsibilities include:

 Support efforts to derive the data governance and management strategy for RCMO, including a data quality management program (end-to-end), a prioritization framework for phased implementation of data governance, delivery of enhancements to data quality, and managing data quality remediation efforts currently underway.

 Partner with the firmwide Chief Data Office and Line of Business data management for the Capital Data Domain to define critical data elements for regulatory capital, capture metadata (business glossary, data flows, lineage), define data quality requirements, partner with other data domains and find synergies with their efforts, and implement DQ measurement.

 Support the RCMO Data Management projects.

 Closely partner with extended RCMO, CDO, Risk and Line of Businesses on data related projects and analysis.



Bachelor's degree required: Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field

Desired Experience:

 0-2 years’ experience in Finance, Risk Management, or related field

Understanding of Basel Capital and/or CCAR Rules preferred

Reasonable understanding of financial products such as securities, credit products and derivatives

Ability to work in pressure oriented environment and able to handle multiple tasks



 Must have reasonable analytical, oral and written communication skills

 A passion for data analysis and data governance

 Good understanding of data warehouses and ETL

 Good interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization

 Self-motivated team player. Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information

 Good organization and control focus

 Superior attention to detail and process-orientation

 Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data to ascertain key facts and trends.

 Ability to develop strong client relationships and gain consensus on key decisions

Technical Skills:

 Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio etc.
