The candidate will be working for the Wholesale Loan Technology (WLT) team at JPMorgan Chase to oversee the Digital and Servicing Automation team. This program consists of initiatives across two primary focus areas:
  • Digital – This includes build out and implementation of the Commercial Loan Portal application with all major client-facing portals that support commercial loans, including Chase Connect (CB), JPM Access (CB, CIB), JPMorgan Online (AWM) and JPMM (CIB)
  • Servicing Automation (workflow) – This includes a series of critical projects focused on line of business initiatives.  In addition, the team will be responsible for consolidating multiple workflow applications as part of the firms Application Rationalization program. 
As Chief Business Technologist, the candidate will provide quality technology solutions that address line of business needs.  This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Have hard technical skills allowing him to partner with his team to design and develop full stack java applications that best meet our client’s needs
  • Manage multiple simultaneous work streams, each of which will consist of one or more Projects
  • Overseeing a significant team of 60-100 (Employees and Consultants) in multiple locations
  • Partner with multiple Product Owner teams on a regular basis
  • Hire Key team members, potentially in multiple locations including NY Metro, Chicago, Newark DE, and Bangalore
  • Must have 10+ years of relevant experience as a Senior Program Manager and Team Leader
  • Must have 5-10 years of strong knowledge of the Loan product domain
  • Must have a strong Project Management background
  • Must have strong written and oral communications skills
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in distributed systems design, enterprise messaging, business process management, relational and non-relational databases, service oriented architectures, micro services, n-tier web application design, cloud application development, batch processing and general enterprise design patterns.
  • Must have a deep understanding of Object-Oriented design concepts and patterns
  • Must have a deep understanding of distributing messaging (MQ, Apache Kafka, etc.)
  • Must have a solid understanding of Cloud concepts, containers, and how Cloud impacts application design
  • Must have experience working directly with the following technologies: Java SE/EE, RESTful web services, JSON, Spring, CI tools (e.g. Jenkins), AngularJS
Optional but Strongly Preferred
  • Familiarity with loan processing systems such as Loan IQ, ALS, ACBS, MBMS Promerit, and Strategy
  • General knowledge of other fixed income financial products
  • Exposure to concepts/tools in Machine Learning, Big Data and Analytics concepts, platforms, and tools
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban development methodologies
