Position Summary:

The objectives of the Business Engagement Lead center on developing and managing communications and relationships across both internal and external stakeholders in reference to our Build the Bank initiative. The Build the Bank team is a newly created team that is defining the future products, operating model, and technology to ensure Chase Merchant Services maintains its prominence in the marketplace. The Engagement lead will work closely with the Initiative Leadership team to identify progress that's in flight and wins we've achieved; working with our Corporate Communications, Field Readiness, LOB Presidents, firm wide LOB partners and Marketing teams to energize our clients with updates regarding the developments that matter most to them, while also ensuring that our internal partners are delivered the information they need, how and when they need it. The Engagement lead will need to construct an end to end program structure to ensure the messaging of the Build the Bank key initiatives (global expansion, the construction of a new modern platform and integration across the Firm) are consistent, timely, clear and succinct. The role is a newly created position with tremendous autonomy, but unwavering support. The ability to partner with teams across a matrixed organization is imperative to ensure the Build the Bank messaging remains fresh across the multiple stakeholders across the firm.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure that the right message is delivered to the right audience at the right time by developing a communications & program framework from the ground up which provides:

o    A common taxonomy across all internal teams

o    Standardized background decks that ensure uniform context across all audiences

o    Aligns all presentations/updated with a defined communications calendar

  •  Craft external materials that communicate our exciting developments in our products in a compelling, newsworthy manner
  •  Work with initiative leadership to plan internal and external roadshows; prep leaders to engage employees and stakeholders


·         Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred, but not required

·         10 + years of experience in Program Management, Consulting, Organizational Process Design

·         Full understanding of the financial services industry and Regulatory, Legal, and Risk environments, merchant acquiring experience a plus

·         Strong knowledge of customer behaviors, sensitivities, and segments

·         Exceptional writing skills; innovative content generator – can craft a message and sell it

·         Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

·         Proven ability to partner with Senior Leaders in a matrixed organization

·         Expertise in PowerPoint and PitchPro (non-negotiable)

·         Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to present to varied and large audiences, including executive updates

·         Command of Communications practices and channels, both traditional and emerging

·         Ability to work independently and create goals and vision for delivery in ambiguous or new situations

·         Ability to problem-solve and clearly articulate objectives and the required path(s) to implement new process/program

·         Excellent influencing-without-authority skills

·         Proven exceptional relationship building skills inside and outside the organization

·         Proven experience in working across departments, lines of business within large organizations
