JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) seeks a Client Advisor for the Los Angeles Wealth Management channel territory to provide field sales coverage to clients. The Client Advisor will work with company's Broker Dealer financial advisors to sell mutual funds, managed accounts and other product where JPMAM Investment capabilities are embedded. The Client Advisor will also be responsible for presenting JPMAM's value added services such as its Market Insight Series, featuring Guide to the Markets.
The job requires the ability to establish credibility and build rapport with financial advisors as a regional spokesperson of the firm to promote JPMAM Investment strategies in an effort to increase assets under management. A high level of professionalism and diligence in meeting client expectations will be essential to increasing the quantity and quality of effective partnerships. Extensive travel is required within territory.
-Position to be based in the area (work from home) must be willing to live in territory/relocate
-Must have knowledge and understanding of wholesaling in an internal or external (preferred) capacity, with financial advisors.
-Must have proven track record of sales success (e.g. moved from internal position to external, if broker has been one for multiple years, verifiable sales rankings, etc) which demonstrates person's ability to close the sale.
-Must be capable of creating relationships, and maintaining and strengthening existing relationships
-Must "self-starter", and self-motivated as demonstrated by level of competitiveness
-Must work with a team as demonstrated by having respectful relationship with internals; have group involvement with other wholesalers, shares sales ideas, etc.
-Must demonstrate consultative style of sales. Focuses and understand the need for the relationship build, NOT a product pusher. However, does have the ability to take advantage of product stories where appropriate.
-Must have positive attitude as demonstrated by actions and ability to persevere where needed
-Must manage territory efficiently and with a level of organization and forethought as demonstrated by their ability to develop and follow a plan, manage T&E's appropriately, making efficient use of time with clients (gets the most out of each visit), approaches office appropriately/wisely, targets right individuals
-Must be open minded to our approach
-Must have experience selling mutual funds and/or managed account
-Must have demonstrated level of intelligence-analytic and quantability, ability to grasp and articulate complex topics
-Demonstrated professionalism-presence, communication style
-Strong interpersonal skills-ability to interact well with a team and with others in general
-Proven ability to operate within JPMC values

-3-4 years current wholesaler experience with a successful track record preferred
