The Technology Operational Risk Office (Technology ORO) is a firm-wide group within Risk with oversight responsibility for the implementation of the JPMC Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) for Global Technology.  The Technology ORO provides an independent view of Technology & Cybersecurity risk to the firm’s management and Board of Directors.  The Technology ORO interacts directly with executive leadership, key functional areas of Technology and Operational Risk Officers across lines of business. 
 
Cybersecurity Risk VP
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of ORMF capabilities in select cybersecurity areas, including risk identification, risk measurement, monitoring and risk reporting
  • Develop/maintain specialized knowledge on high priority cybersecurity efforts within the Firm
  • Perform oversight of operational cybersecurity risks via participation in governance forums, senior level work streams, major cybersecurity uplift programs, & point-in-time issue escalation
  • Independently challenge Global Technology assessment of risk and escalate where assessment of risk materially differs
  • Analyze risk concentration areas, risk profiles, and synthesize data from internal and external sources in order to identify operational risk areas which need to be assessed
  • Develop appropriate communications for various audiences in support of independent cybersecurity risk assessments
 
Qualifications:
  • 10 years’ experience in cybersecurity w/ recent experience (3+years) focused on Security Event/Incident Management, Cloud Security or Vulnerability Management)
  • Operational experience (e.g. SOC, Red Team, Threats, Vulnerabilities) in a large enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of a broad array of cybersecurity technologies is required
  • Understanding of risk management / control principles applied to cybersecurity  (e.g. NIST CSF)
  • Ability to understand complex technical systems and the business processes they support
  • Ability to synthesize corresponding risks and controls and recommend adjustments if required
  • Inquisitive nature and comfort challenging current practices in a constructive manner
  • Adept at developing relationships and partnering across organization lines to manage risks
  • Ability to translate technical risk analysis into clear and concise executive level presentations
  • High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency; able to work with limited supervision and make independent decisions with a track record of leading by influence
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to manage expectations/deliver results
  • Highly Desired:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,  Information Security or related field; post graduate degree in same areas
    • CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, GSEC, or CEH
    • Previous Operational Risk or Audit experience
    • Financial services or experience in a highly-regulated technical environment
