Department Description:
The Audit Department provides the Board of Directors, senior management and regulators with independent assurance that internal controls are operating effectively.  The global Audit Department has in excess of 1,000 officers.
Within the Audit Department, the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Data Analytics team comprises data professionals based in New York, London and Bournemouth. The primary focus is to support testing of key business and technology controls by using a variety of Data Analytics techniques to increase efficiency, effectiveness and automation.
Position Description
We are looking for a Data Analytics professional to join the CIB Data Analytics team. This position will be based in London reporting to the EMEA DA Team Lead.
  • Work closely with business and technology colleagues to identify impactful Data Analytics opportunities.  
  • Develop repeatable solutions for automated and ‘full population’ control testing.
  • Acquire and analyze data from multiple sources and systems across the CIB to reach and support conclusions.
  • Visualize data in order to effectively communicate findings and themes.
  • Provide training to the wider Audit department to increase usage of Data Analytics.
  • Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to assist the team in creating the most efficient and effective data strategies.
  • Comply with JPMorgan Chase technology and data standards and policies.
  • Genuine interest in Technology, Data Analytics tools and techniques.
  • Combination of controls testing and data analytics experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Investment Bank operations, products, and regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive concepts to senior management.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility / accountability. 
  • Experience working with large complex data sets, drawing conclusions and reporting findings.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering sustainable analytical tools and processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with any or all of the following: SQL, R, Python, ACL, Qlikview, Tableau, Hadoop, SAS, Business Objects
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
