Role Description:
The Finance Controller at J.P. Morgan Poland Services sp. z. o.o is responsible for the execution of core financial control and reporting activities for JPMorgan’s new Global Service Centre in Warsaw. The position reports to the Senior Financial Officer. 
Main Responsibilities:
Accounting, Finance & Control:
  • Day to day local Polish accounting operations ensuring proper recording of all financial transactions under Polish GAAP
  • Corporate reporting to the Group Head Office in the United States under US GAAP
  • Monitoring the companies cash and funding positions and preparation of the annual Cashflow Statement
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns and review of corporate tax returns
  • Control and documentation of intercompany income
  • Control of intercompany expenses, ensuring compliance with tax transfer pricing policies
  • Reporting to the Senior Financial Officer with timely legal entity financial management information, including location dashboard, board packs, revenue analysis, legal entity forecast/plan for Management
  • Physical and dematerialised asset control including balance sheet controls
  • Support local monthly/quarterly regulatory returns
  • Participation in of internal and external audits
  • Preparation of Statutory financial statements
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English and Polish essential
  • Suitable Finance or Economics Education
  • Experience of the application of Polish Accounting Standards essential, USGAAP an advantage.
  • Prior experience of financial statement audit in a Polish Company or Audit Firm
  • Strong PC / systems skills (Excel skills essential)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within tight timeframes
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience of reporting to local tax and/or financial regulators is a distinct advantage
