Job Functions / Responsibilities:

The Confirmation teams main responsibility to ensure issuance, affirmation and execution of all legal confirmations with the counterparty.  These are then reported on a weekly basis to senior management. The work covers daily BAU as well as process improvement initiatives.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the following functions:

§  Drafting and Affirmation of Equities Derivative Trades and Legal confirmations.

§  Understand legal aspects relating to Derivatives confirmations.

§  Drive Efficiency in the  current process

§  Calls with Global Partners and Middle Office teams

§  Timely escalation of unissued/unexecuted documents.

§  Building and sustaining, strong working relationships with internal Lines of Business with Middle Office, Front Office and internal Counterparts.

§  Identifying incorrect booking practice and educate Middle office on the impact

§  Ensuring all issues are investigated and resolved in a timely manner as per Business Standards.

§  Understand and ensure process controls and regulatory requirements.

§  Liaising with external counterparts (G15 banks/Clients) to negotiate and affirm legal confirmations.

§  Publish internal management MIS to track performance of regulatory targets.


Skill Sets Required

·         The candidate must be a motivated individual with a strong Partnership abilities

·         ISDA knowledge and Equity Derivatives Product knowledge is preferable

·         Equity Derivative experience preferable.

·         The individual must be able to: handle a high level of complexity in their product coverage, be able to shift gears with relative ease, be flexible enough in shifting workload in accordance with changing priorities and be comfortable dealing with a stressful and fast paced Trading environment.

·         Good communication skills.

·         The candidate should be flexible to work in all shifts.

Min Required Qualifications / Experience

·         Graduate with 2-4 yrs of experience

·         Experience/working knowledge of Derivative products

·         Knowledge of ISDA terms and language would be an added advantage.

Ability to details and good interpersonal skills
