Job Description
The position will have overall responsibility for J.P. Morgan Global Corporate Bank in Asia Pacific. We are looking for an exceptional individual with the ability to really grow our footprint and ensure we continue to deliver best-in-class service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall Corporate Banking business model and strategy in Asia Pacific.
  • Responsible for growing the business and increasing client penetration in the region.
  • Increase cross sell by collaborating with various product specialists to identify opportunities and develop accounts strategies.
  • Maintain and build firm wide contact with product and coverage resources, credit, and all other relevant partners.
  • Responsible for providing leadership on credit approvals in the region based on a thorough review of the deal economics as well as a holistic, firm wide view of the client relationship.
  • Act as Asia Pacific  subject matter expert. Provide industry content and facilitate internal / external education efforts for the bankers and clients on relevant topics.
  • Focus on hiring world class talent, as needed, across the diverse markets in the region. 
  • Focus on regulatory and compliance matters and demonstrate sound and appropriate behaviors; lead by example.  Take on committee chair roles as appropriate to represent the corporate bank in regional forums.
  • Participate in Asia Pacific management team and play a key strategic role in driving the business forward.


Key Qualifications:
  • Strong partnership skills with ability to engage and partner closely with the various product groups.
  • Strong client relationship manager with proven ability to develop networks, both internally and externally, build client relationships, win new business, and close transactions.
  • Must be able to demonstrate Credit knowledge (preferably have been in either credit or debt capital markets) as well as multinational / cross-border deal knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of flow derivatives, FX, commodities, transaction banking and securities.
  • Strong commercial judgment.
  • Strong understanding of Bank regulations and policies in Asia Pacific with proven acumen for making sound judgements on risk and control matters.
  • Strong people leader with a proven track record of managing across diverse cultural environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English as a working language.
