Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting regional management in managing and providing oversight of Cash Operations in Hong Kong, including planning, strategy, organizational structure, budget and resource allocation 
  • Develops, recommends and executes operational plans  in support of long-term business objectives
  • Manages and ensures the flawless delivery of the day-to-day Operations for Hong Kong Branch including oversight and governance over our GSC (Global Service Centres), Utilities and Managed Service Providers
  • Builds exceptional relationships with business partners and stakeholders.  Engages and partners with location/country business groups, tech reps.  Discusses, solutions  and escalates (as appropriate) bespoke processes, ad-hoc business requests, specific deals or local business initiatives
  • Ensures operating model is efficient, robust and sustainable.  Reviews model on an ongoing basis, maximizes  usage of hubs
  • Proactively engages  with regional team, OCM/operations control for new or major changes in the process, new products or RFPs
  • Ensures a robust and disciplined risk & control focus.  Proactively manages and ensures adherence to LOB processes, Policy and Risk & Control.  
  • Keeps abreast and ensures adherence to changes in local regulations & policies.
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and applications, and their implications to Operations
  • Support regional and local initiatives to drive efficiencies, productivity and process improvements
Qualifications  
  • Full understanding of Treasury Services business, operations and technology strategy
  • Has at least 10 years Cash Operations/Product experience and in leadership roles
  • Understanding of and experience in payment, deposit and liquidity products
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability to deliver business goals – execution to achieve specific desired results
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to motivate and build a cohesive team for achieving local, regional and global goals and objectives
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and promptly initiate action and escalate potential risks to minimize loss
  • Strong commitment to providing high standards of quality client service
  • Adaptability in maintaining standards and adjusting effectively to operate within new work structures, processes or requirements
  • Effective delegating, planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines and team objectives
  • Ability to effectively address and manage conflict
  • Ability to communicate pro-actively and openly with internal and external business partners
  • Proven ability to implement and manage change across direct units as well as remote units
  • Strong Risks and Controls mindset. Proven track record in handling audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong team player and be able to work with functional partners/stakeholders to deliver results.
