As part of the Global Mobility team of Corporate Compensation, the Expatriate Tax Team provides specific tax matter expertise on all assignment and relocation related matters.
The regional expatriate tax associate position in Singapore will support the Regional Expatriate Tax Manager in Global Mobility on APAC income tax compliance matters for expatriate employees and permanent transferees, and providing advisory services to the wider HR community, expatriates and permanent transferees with consideration to Global Mobility policies. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • APAC representative for the Business Traveler project - support the expatriate agenda in the regional project team
  • Manage the successful delivery of multiple tax projects in the region
  • Advise on home and host country tax withholding requirements for termination payments and equity/ stock awards
  • Manage the annual cash bonus process in APAC in determining home and host country tax and social security withholding requirements.
  • Day to day contact point in APAC for the global tax services vendor.
  • Manage tax season work in APAC region including tax authorization list, tax reimbursement and payment processes.
  • Keep updated on tax changes that may affect any aspect of international assignment for inbound and outbound APAC assignees and share relevant information appropriately.
  • Interface directly with expatriates / HR business partners on tax concerns/questions
  • Provide tax guidance and support for tax related activities performed by the Global Mobility operations team
  • Partner with global Expatriate Tax Team and operations team on development and implementation of efficient processes to support tax compliance for the expatriate population in the APAC region
  • Collaborate effectively across employment tax, business traveler tax and tax operations team to share best practices/updates in respective function and assess/address impact to expats (and vice versa) and to solve issues as one HR
  • Provide tax advisory support for the Regional Assignment Managers in APAC in relation to their assignment portfolio

  • Good project management skills – well thought out implementation plan, tracking of milestones and proactive updates to management
