About the Team
The EMEA In Country Product Management Team forms part of the EMEA Core Cash Product Management team and is responsible for product strategy, development and commercialization of the end to end TS solutions that J.P. Morgan delivers to all clients across its 13 booking locations within EMEA.
About the Position
The In Country Core Cash Product Head  for South Africa will be responsible for product strategy, development, commercialisation and the P&L of the TS services that J.P. Morgan delivers to clients in country.  In addition, the Product Manager will need to assure the South African product and position is built for purpose, keep up to date with all market and regulatory items impacting the products and assure day to day programs and service are managed effectively.
The role includes extensive collaboration with multiple internal stakeholder groups e.g.  Sales, Operations, Service, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Legal.  
  • Be the South African TS product expert through end-to-end understanding of how the South African TS products work, how they are used by clients and a deep understanding of the external market.
  • Represent J.P. Morgan at all local regulator, clearing and industry meetings and forums e.g. SARB & PASA
  • Ownership of in country clearing membership
  • Development and delivery of the country product strategy
  • Strong control over inbound country financial planning seeking to exceed revenue targets whilst driving down cost base
  • Anticipate internal and external factors impacting the country and implement plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. 
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Technology and Implementations team to identify, develop and implement electronic solutions and product improvements
  • Support sales team with in country client proposals and client facing meetings to help drive business growth
  • Obtain a working knowledge of the global product set available to aid in conversations with in country clients wishing to book outbound
  • Structure and present reporting and updates to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Understand the risks inherent in the product and drive programs to reduce risk
  • You will be able to demonstrate your proven in country product management and development experience within a Wholesale, Investment or Commercial bank, preferably in cash management
  • You will be able to demonstrate that you are a strategic thinker with the ability to motivate and drive tactical execution.
  • You will be able to give examples of presentation and influencing skills both with clients and internal partnerships
  • Solid track record of success in developing and implementing large-scale initiatives
  • Experience with and/or prior collaboration with Sales, Operations and Technology
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, can sell self and ideas
  • Ability to proactively distribute thought expertise 
  • Local language linguist
