  • Regional GRE Data Centre Oversight Manager
    The Data Centre Oversight Manager has overall responsibility for overseeing the APAC regional governance framework (including contractual, financial, standards and regulations) under which the Data Centre service providers are obliged to operate.

    Role and Responsibilities

    Third Party Liaison
    • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with all third party service providers/Landlords.
      • Facilitating regular communication that includes review of maintenance against agreed schedules.
    • Development and ongoing management of the governance framework under which the existing and new sites will be managed on a day to day basis including:
      • Regular monitoring of changes to OE standards ensuring third party service scope and SLA’s remain in line with the standards (to the extent possible under the contract);
      • Support of the local teams in the event there is an incident at site, review of incident reports and cascading of lessons learnt across the region;
      • Scheduling of planned power impacting events into the annual Major Events Planning Calendar;
      • ITSM records completed clear, concise, timely and fully approved prior to work commencing;
      • Control access procedures in place and adhered to;
      • GRE visitor and DC vendor access procedures in place and adhered to;
      • CSES 3204.0 Working in Critical Areas standard is being complied with;
      • Training plan established for new local team members and refresher training scheduled for existing team members;
      • Resiliency plan for each site documented and reviewed annually;
      • Power and Cooling capacity management tools populated
        • MEP infrastructure data (outside IT cabinets);
        • Power consumption data including facilities without power strip metering;
      • Monthly reports inspected to determine if any power, cooling or structural breaches have been identified. Appropriate resolution action plans in place;
      • Implementation of energy savings programs by the local teams;
      • Support of the local teams during technology and infrastructure audits and annual TVRA
    • Project Management policies and procedures are followed for - New build / Fit out/Minor works/Structured cabling:
      • Vendors TPOéd / recertified;
      • Works program documented including timelines and responsibilities;
      • As-builts uploaded to the document sharepoint at close-out.
    • Monitor the key dates for all sites across APAC and support the Transaction team on renewals/exits.
    • Work with the transaction team to identify and short list appropriate new sites including assisting with the development of the financials for funding approval, MEP design and due diligence;
    • Monitor each sites budget and ensure that payments are being made in a timely manner and that any penalties due for SLA breaches are processed.

    What Education/Experience do I Need?
    • Minimum 15 years engineering experience with critical systems including data centers and trading floors;
    • Familiar with regional engineering practice and engineering related laws and regulations (preferred);
    • Experience in project and vendor management
    • Proven ability to execute projects and new initiatives;
    • Sensitive to, and capable of managing, all aspects of engineering risk;
    • Experience in energy management;
    • A creative and lateral thinker being open to new ideas and able to adopt and implement change effectively;
    • Experience delivering objectives via a remote team and sensitive to cultural differences around the region;
    • Team player with high ethical standards and able to manage change and diversity;
    • Good all round communication skills in receiving, delivering, and broadcasting information to effectively communicate with both local and international clients and co-workers – proficiency in written and spoken English is essential;
    • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office.
