The Oversight & Control Team collaborates with business partners, including Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, and Audit, to decrease Consumer & Community Banking’s exposure to financial loss, compliance issues, and/or reputational risk. The Control Reporting Manager will support the Oversight & Control organization through the coordination and delivery of strategic analyses and accurate reporting of control metrics. The Control Reporting Manager will play an integral role in guiding Consumer & Community Banking’s business units toward a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols. The Control Reporting Manager will administer Oversight & Control’s Reporting Agenda and ensure continued visibility of key control issues. The role will partner with peers and multiple levels of management to design, implement, maintain, and deliver reporting that satisfies business requirements. The successful candidate will be technically savvy, innovative, and able to present reporting solutions that vary in complexity.

  • Engage business partners to identify reporting needs (i.e. metric identification, reporting views, report frequency, use and distribution)
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in designing innovative reporting products that address business requirements
  • Gather and synthesize information from various sources, perform analyses, and interpret results
  • Deliver accurate, scheduled reporting (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly) on time
  • Identify, document, and communicate data and reporting integrity/quality issues
  • Manage data and reporting using related tools
  • Coordinate, and/or participate in, reporting-related review meetings and development forums
  • Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
  • Assist in the development of new reporting solutions
  • Perform ongoing analysis of program-related data and develop ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Develop and/or maintain procedures for reporting, analysis and other related deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and overall service delivery
  • Proactively research best practices and learn new technologies and systems
  • Lead project/program activities involving data preparation, document creation and oral presentation of analytical results
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or other business related field; MBA or CFA a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services industry; specific experience in Oversight & Controls, Operational Risk, Risk Management, Business Management, Audit, Compliance, Finance or other controls related area preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Access, Excel (Pivot tables, graphs, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Experience with FORCE and ALM, a plus
  • Experience extracting data from various Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Business Objects, Cognos, Oracle, QlikView, Tableau, etc.)
  • Intermediate SQL language skills (creating queries); VBA experience, a plus
  • Problem solving skills: Ability to rapidly learn an unfamiliar process, structure and scope complex problems, apply a range of analytical tools, gain and synthesize insights, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Analytical skills: Highly analytical, with experience in defining analytical approaches and collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources to develop actionable solutions
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage work streams, create workable work stream plans and execute on such plans. Must be able to meet commitments and balance competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines within a matrixed reporting environment
  • Self-motivated & confident decision-maker with strategic orientation and the ability to demonstrate leadership; challenging and influencing change where necessary
  • Highly responsive with proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate, in both written and verbal form, in a manner that is clear and concise; ability to present information that varies in degree of difficulty to multiple audiences
  • Collaborative team player able to develop meaningful and effective working relationships with colleagues, senior management and/or direct reports
