The application developer will work as part of an Agile scrum team designing, developing, and deploying functionality for support of the Developer Center product.  The team will be focused on quality code that meets all security requirements, clean deployments, and level 3 support for any issues. 
  • Work within the agile team to assure high quality, timely delivery and implementation of the projects and assure the overall success of the team.
  • Participate in design discussions with the technical team and interface with architecture, Scrum Master, QA, BSA, Product and supporting teams to create efficient and consistent solutions
  • Responsible for code quality and maintainability including unit testing and following standards
  • Experience in application architecture and design
  • Experience in leading and partnering with high performing, diverse technical teams across line of business
  • Experience in Application Security Code Review and/or Application Vulnerability Assessment
  • Good understanding of SDLC processes and automated tools, spanning requirements/issue management, defect tracking, source control, build automation, test automation and release management.
  • Experience with Java Web servers like Weblogic, tomcat etc.
  • Experience with industry standard Business Intelligence tools and/or at least one of the Open Source Java based Business Rules (e.g. Drools) would be preferred.
  • Local oversight and resource management of development resources
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years recent hands-on software development work experience in large-scale distributed technology projects in a J2EE environment.
  • Minimum of 5+ years server side development experience with Java/J2EE.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience of the software development release lifecycle and source management methodologies (Agile).
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience with SQL. 
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.   
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Open Source technologies (Maven, Junit, Log4j, MyBatis etc.).
  • Experience with Spring Java Frameworks.
  • Experience with Java UI technologies (Angular.js, Spring MVC, CSS, bootstrap, jQuery, HTML5 etc.).
  • Experience with Web Services Development - JAX-WS, JAX-RS
  • Experience with Rules Engine (Drools)
  • Payments and Transaction processing experience.
