We’re hiring an Associate to join our Capacity Planning Team here at J.P. Morgan. In this dynamic role, you will support core processes and strategic initiatives across the Correspondent Home Lending organization by analyzing data, preparing reports, performing research, and forecasting all with the goal of driving better decision making. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have a genuine interest in using data and information to solve real business challenges, strong analytical abilities, and a keen interest to make a big impact within the Correspondent organization. Other core responsibilities of the team include managing the monthly capacity planning process, assisting with financial and strategic projects, and providing decision support to leadership.  The ability to develop relationships with the business and other stakeholders and gather inputs for the planning process are also very vital duties for this role.

You will…

  • Take ownership of forecasting tools and lead the forecasting process for select groups within Correspondent Home Lending
  • Communicate findings and insights to internal teams, including Senior leadership
  • Partner with colleagues in finance, technology and operations to ensure that forecasts are executing as designed and achieving the desired outcomes
  • Prepare, troubleshoot and analyze the results of capacity tools on a weekly basis
  • Prepare forecast review documents for each capacity plan and revisions to be distributed to leadership for review and discussion
  • Perform ad hoc analyses
  • Support forecast infrastructure by helping to collect vital data and information from MIS and channel leadership
  • Facilitate meetings with the business to garner insight on process changes, productivity updates, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide detailed model requirements to capacity development team for changes to existing models or new models
  • Prepare insightful, high quality Senior Management presentations
  • Support ad-hoc requests from the Business and Senior Management
  • Partner with the business and finance teams to ensure smooth functioning of the capacity planning process
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the business and capacity planning team
  • Maintain and coordinate calendar of deliverables

  • 4 years of relevant work experience in an analytical capacity (preparing reports, presentations, creating forecasts, and actionable insights).
  • BA / BS degree in Business, Finance, or other quantitative field
  • Experience in retail home lending/financial services industry preferred

·         Strong quantitative and analytical skills, detail-oriented and proficient in building out analysis with minimal supervision

·         Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results highlighting the broader commercial and strategic impact

·         Fluent in Microsoft Office applications required (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and key add-ons like PitchPro

  • Knowledge of Essbase preferred

·         Ability to research issues/problems and provide a 'solution-based' approach

·         Keen attention to detail

·         Strong team player
