As an experienced Software Engineer, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run.   • Work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems.
  • Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Develop tools and applications to automate and support applications
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments. Automate responses for recurrent issues
  • Design software to improve availability, scalability and efficiency of the IMOS platform.
  • Gathering and refining requirements from stakeholders
  • Internal and External Client facing communications for change management and outage resolution.
  • Working with developers in other component teams to ensure consistent integration of services across teams
  • Post mortem issue tracking and resolution across the E2E IMOS stack
  • Coordination with environment management and UAT central testing teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Assess, coordinate and execute releases directly impacting MO
  • Manage relationships, engagements and delivery across GTI, Environment Management, Prod Operate, QA
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Skills and Technologies
  • SDLC Tool Chain covering Source Control, Continuous Integration and Agile Team Management (Jenkins/TeamCity/Travis/etc.)
  • Familiarity with more at least one programming languages (C, C#, C++, Java, Python, etc).
  • You have experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Database experience Oracle/Sybase/MySQL
  • You have an in-depth understanding of networking theory.
  • You have experience of monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Experience of working on highly scalable & highly available systems
  • Incident management tools
  • Knowledge of Geneos
  • Top notch core developer
  • A strong sense of good practice with respect to development techniques
  • Strong understanding of a software development lifecycle process
  • Ideally understands IBOR and Middle Office services within Custody Fund Services/repo/collateral management flows or demonstrates an eagerness to learn the business fully
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
